Excitement has been building from day one: songs, energy, and eager anticipation to get the tournament underway. This atmosphere was especially felt in Anoeta, where over 500 teams checked in, but it has spread across the entire city — Donosti Cup fever is everywhere.
The matches on this opening day will be played at 65 official venues, spread throughout the region, making it as easy as possible for teams to move between locations and enjoy the best conditions.
Getting off to a strong start will be key in this group stage, as the final standings will determine the path to the knockout rounds.
This year, the Fair Play Award returns as part of the “Play, Respect, Celebrate” initiative. Each team — including players, coaches, and supporters — will be rated from 1 to 5 based on their sportsmanship, encouraging respect and fair play on and off the field.
