Donosti Authentics Cup fights for inclusion and diversity in an exciting tournament
The Authentics Day and the finals in the Miniestadio mark the day of celebration in the Donosti Cup.
The Donosti Cup continues its outstanding work in favour of inclusion through the Donosti Authentics Cup, a tournament that gives young people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to actively participate in the world of football. But the inclusive work goes beyond that, and this was demonstrated by the Authentics Day, held this Wednesday at Anoeta, within the framework of the Donosti Cup, in honour of diversity and inclusion.
From early afternoon, the area around the Reale Arena was filled with joy with various workshops. Afterwards, the Anoeta Mini Stadium became the stage for the final matches of the Donosti Authentics Cup. SD Eibar, Real Sociedad, Gladiadores de México, Newcastle United, Olagarroak and Entente Basque demonstrated their passion and talent on the pitch. In addition, a friendly match took place between the Mindara association and a second Gladiadores team.
After the conclusion of the tournament, the trophy ceremony was held, where the happiness of the participants reigned. All the participants of the Donosti Authentics Cup were recognised as true winners, as they have made a valuable contribution to the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities.
In addition, moments of joy and union were experienced in the fan zone, accompanied by the performance of Burrunba Elektrotxaranga, players of the Donosti Cup and the Authentics Cup shared dances and celebrated diversity and inclusion together.
The Donosti Cup and the Donosti Authentics Cup reaffirm their commitment to continue promoting inclusion and diversity in sport, inspiring everyone to build a more equal and open world for all.
