Taiwan to participate for the first time in the tournament’s history
Kaohsiung Attackers FC will compete with a B14 team in the 33rd edition of the Donosti Cup
The Donosti Cup continues to break boundaries and, this summer, it will celebrate a historic milestone with the arrival of a team from Taiwan. For the first time in its 33 editions, the tournament will welcome Kaohsiung Attackers FC, who will represent the Asian country in the B14 category.
Founded in 2023 by Power Wind Health Industry Inc., Kaohsiung Attackers FC was born with the aim of promoting football development in Taiwan. In just two years, the club has built a strong youth academy with eight teams ranging from U8 to U16, showing a clear commitment to developing young talent.
One of the key drivers of their growth has been their partnership with LaLiga Football Schools, which has allowed them to implement top-level Spanish training methodologies. Their efforts are already paying off: in the Formosa 7s tournament, their teams achieved outstanding results, including runner-up finishes in the U10 and U13 categories, and third-place finishes in U9 and U12.
The club is also making strides in women’s football. Its women’s team plays in the top tier of Taiwanese football and recently won a championship title, breaking the long-standing dominance of clubs such as Taichung Blue Whale and Hualien City.
Beyond the pitch, Kaohsiung Attackers FC is strongly engaged with its local community. The club regularly organizes charity events in local schools to promote football among young people and strengthen the bond between sport and society.
From the entire Donosti Cup team, we warmly welcome Kaohsiung Attackers FC. We are delighted to have them on board and are sure their time in San Sebastián will be both enriching and unforgettable.
