Last month to apply for the Rural Kutxa scholarship to participate in Donosti Cup 2026
More than 600 young people from Gipuzkoa have already applied for the grant that allows them to take part in the tournament at virtually no cost.
Donosti Cup 2026 is entering the final stage of its preparations, and with it comes the approaching deadline to apply for the Rural Kutxa scholarship, aimed at players registered as residents in Gipuzkoa.
Once again, Rural Kutxa, Official Sponsor and Official Financial Institution of the Donosti Cup, is promoting this program with the goal of ensuring that no young player misses out on the tournament for financial reasons. The grant covers up to €65 of the participation fee and can be requested until July 15 through the designated application form. Applicants must hold or open a youth account with the institution.
In the previous edition, Rural Kutxa allocated more than €70,000 to this program, benefiting 1,132 athletes from Gipuzkoa. This figure continues to grow year after year, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to universal access to sport.
In addition to the scholarship program, Rural Kutxa’s involvement in the Donosti Cup also includes a special recognition for fair play. The Gipuzkoa club receiving the highest evaluation for sporting behavior will be awarded a special trophy and will be able to donate €2,000 to the NGO of its choice, turning the values of sport into a direct social impact.
With the application deadline drawing closer, the organization encourages all eligible young players to apply for the scholarship and become part of a new edition of the Donosti Cup, the largest international youth football tournament in the region.
