Football continues to give us wonderful stories.
Iñigo Olaizola, founder and director of the Donosti Cup, looks back on the 34th edition of the tournament with a very positive assessment, an edition that brought together 910 teams from 32 countries.
It has been an edition with a strong social dimension. Securing the visas that allowed the Angolan NGO Live Active team to take part, welcoming once again a team from Palestine, meeting the only federated women’s team made up of Roma players, or seeing the Venezuelan club Futuros Vinotinto make the journey to San Sebastián just a few weeks after the earthquakes that devastated their country are just some of the many inspiring stories that this edition has given us.
Because the Donosti Cup is much more than football: it is a place for meeting, sharing, friendship, and inclusion, where sport brings together people from different cultures and backgrounds.
