Fair Play also gets rewarded

At the Donosti Cup, how you play matters just as much as the score. That’s why this year we’re putting Fair Play in the spotlight again, rewarding players, coaches, and fans who show great sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

Every game will be rated from 1 (not very sportsmanlike) to 5 (very sportsmanlike), based on respect between teams, how the benches behave, and the atmosphere in the stands. Each day, we’ll share a leaderboard highlighting the teams that best represent the values of respect, teamwork, effort, and fair play.

Respect is the heart of every sport, especially football. More than the score, what really counts is the attitude. What truly shows the spirit of a team is how they handle winning and losing, and how they behave on the field. At Donosti Cup, winning isn’t just about goals—it’s about setting a positive example both on and off the pitch.

With Rural Kutxa’s support, the top three teams with the best fair play scores will get a cash prize:
1st place: €2,000
2nd place: €500
3rd place: €300
