Fair Play also gets rewarded

Thanks to Rural Kutxa, the Fair Play award will come with a €2,000 prize

5 de July de 2025

At the Donosti Cup, the score isn't everything. The true spirit of football goes beyond goals and victories: respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork are core values we want to celebrate. This year, thanks to the support of Rural Kutxa, we are once again highlighting Fair Play by awarding a cash prize to the teams that best represent these values throughout the tournament.

Throughout the week, each match will be rated on a scale from 1 to 5, assessing the sportsmanlike behavior of players, coaches, and supporters. Criteria include mutual respect between teams, the attitude of the benches, and the atmosphere in the stands. A daily ranking will be published, showcasing the teams that best reflect the values of sport: respect, collective effort, fair play, and above all, camaraderie.

Respect is the foundation of any sport, and football is no exception. What truly defines a team is not only how it wins, but also how it loses, and how it behaves in every match. At the Donosti Cup, winning is not just about scoring more goals — it's also about setting an example on and off the pitch.

Thanks to the support of Rural Kutxa, the three Gipuzkoan teams with the highest Fair Play scores will receive a financial reward:

  • 1st place: €2,000
  • 2nd place: €500
  • 3rd place: €300

Play with passion. Play with respect.
