Women's Day shines the spotlight on women's football at Donosti Cup 2026
Matches, music, challenges and many more surprises will take centre stage during a special day dedicated to the tournament's female players.
Donosti Cup 2026 celebrates Women's Day this Wednesday, a special event dedicated to women's football that will bring together a full day of matches, activities and shared experiences for the hundreds of female players taking part in the tournament.
Anoeta Mini Stadium will be the heart of the event, with a programme made up entirely of women's matches. In the afternoon, the Fan Zone will come alive with music, games and a variety of activities designed especially for the players. One of the day's most anticipated moments will be the visit of Real Sociedad player Cecilia Marcos, who will spend time with participants and take part in one of the day's challenges. Players will have the chance to compete in a ball-juggling challenge, with the winner receiving an official Donosti Cup shirt signed by Cecilia Marcos. Throughout the afternoon there will also be prize draws, giveaways and live entertainment, making the Fan Zone a meeting place for all participants.
Women's Day will also feature the participation of Fútbol Más, which will present its Más que Campeonas initiative, a programme that uses sport as a tool to promote leadership, confidence and personal development among girls and young women. The organisation will host a range of interactive activities and prize draws to introduce its project to the tournament's players.
