Leire Martínez to perform at the Opening Ceremony of the Donosti Cup 2025
Tickets are already on sale on the tournament's official website
Until now, the Donosti Cup's opening ceremony had featured amateur artists such as Aysha Bengoetxea and Farga. However, this year the organizers have aimed to take things up a notch by inviting a renowned artist who received the Golden Drum just one year after the Donosti Cup was awarded the same honor.
The Rentería-born singer, best known for her career as the lead vocalist of La Oreja de Van Gogh and now as a solo artist, will perform for the first time at the Donosti Cup on one of the most symbolic stages in the city: the Reale Arena. It will undoubtedly be one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the week, both for the participants and for Leire’s fans.
During the ceremony — which typically draws more than 15,000 attendees — she will perform two songs live: Mi nombre, her latest hit, and Cometas por el cielo, a song from her time with LOVG, included on her second album as the band’s lead vocalist.
The opening ceremony of the Donosti Cup 2025 will begin at 9:30 PM at the Reale Arena and promises to be the most exciting moment of the week. In addition to Leire’s performance, the event will include a parade of all participating clubs, various musical acts, a stunning light and sound show, and, to top it all off, a fireworks display.
