North America surpasses 100 registered teams for the Donosti Cup 2026
The United States, Mexico and Canada confirm their presence in an edition marked by the excitement of the 2026 World Cup
Seven months before the start of the tournament, teams from the United States, Mexico and Canada have already surpassed 100 registrations, consolidating a trend that has strengthened in recent years.
The United States remains one of the tournament’s most loyal and numerous foreign participants. In fact, in last year’s edition it became the international country with the highest representation, reaching the impressive figure of 105 participating teams. For 2026, the pace of registrations suggests a similar number: U.S. teams are very close to once again reaching one hundred registered teams, with plenty of time remaining before registration closes.
Mexico and Canada will also be present. Several clubs from both countries have already confirmed their participation, contributing to an edition that is especially anticipated due to its coincidence with the 2026 World Cup, which will be held precisely in these three nations. This overlap has created a wave of excitement among North American teams, who will experience part of the World Cup atmosphere from Donostia.
During the Donosti Cup, participants will have the opportunity to follow the Round of 16 and quarterfinal matches of the World Cup on a giant screen in the Fan Zone, whenever the schedule allows. These are the matches they will be able to enjoy:
Among the teams already confirmed, many returning clubs stand out, such as Wisconsin International, Team ISL or Elko SC, which have accumulated numerous participations in the tournament. There will also be exciting debuts with teams like CU Montejo de Mérida, Las Vegas SA or Top Flight Soccer, who will enjoy their first experience in San Sebastián.
With this strong North American representation and the added excitement of the World Cup, the Donosti Cup 2026 promises to become an unforgettable edition.
