The Donosti Cup 2026 surpasses 300 registered teams in just two months
The 34th edition of the youth football tournament reaffirms its international spirit with a record participation of national teams.
Two months after opening the registration period, the Donosti Cup 2026 already has 333 teams signed up, highlighting a significant international presence. Teams from more than 12 countries have confirmed their participation: Australia, Chile, Spain, France, Iceland, Japan, Mexico, Mongolia, Nigeria, Portugal, the United States, and Uruguay.
A notable fact is the growth of national teams, which are just a few away from reaching 200 registrations. The number of foreign teams is also impressive, with 130 confirmed. The United States leads the international representation with 88 teams, followed by France with 24, and Mexico with 11.
The number of female teams is also remarkable for this time of year, already exceeding 60. By category, the most in-demand is G16, followed by G14 and G18. In the boys’ competition, the most popular categories so far are B12, followed by B13 and B11. In addition, the U9 and U10 categories, which return for the Donosti Cup 2026, already add up to 60 teams — a very positive figure.
Organizers emphasize the strong demand for this 34th edition, which will be held from July 6 to 12, 2026, in San Sebastián. Given the limited number of spots and growing interest, they encourage teams wishing to participate to complete their registration as soon as possible to secure their place in the tournament.
