Discover the Basque Country During the Donosti Cup
The Donosti Cup 2026 will be played on nearly 65 pitches located across San Sebastián and the surrounding areas.
The Donosti Cup is much more than football. Every summer, thousands of players, coaches and families take advantage of the tournament to discover Gipuzkoa and enjoy an experience that combines sport, tourism, culture and gastronomy in one of Europe’s most unique settings.
With less than 50 days to go before the start of the 2026 edition, the countdown has already begun for the teams arriving in San Sebastián from countries all around the world. During the week, in addition to competing in the tournament, they will have the opportunity to discover some of the most iconic corners of the Basque Country.
This year, the competition will be played on nearly 80 pitches spread throughout Gipuzkoa, as well as at several venues located in Navarre, Biscay and the French Basque Country. This distribution will allow participants to discover different regions and experience the essence of each area while playing their matches.
The beaches and surfing atmosphere of Zarautz, the landscapes of Zumaia and the Flysch Route, the maritime charm of Orio and Mutriku, the historic centres of Bergara and Arrasate, the traditional markets of Ordizia, and the natural surroundings of Goierri and Navarre will be just some of the settings accompanying participants throughout the tournament.
The Donosti Cup therefore becomes a perfect opportunity to enjoy Basque gastronomy, explore charming towns and discover unique places between matches. Pintxos, cider, txakoli wine, grilled fish, Idiazabal cheese and the traditional Tolosa beans are also part of the experience for those visiting the tournament.
In addition to San Sebastián and its beaches, teams will be able to discover mountains, nature trails, fishing ports, local markets and some of the most renowned landscapes in northern Spain, in an experience that leaves memories far beyond football every year.
Because at the Donosti Cup, the tournament is also lived beyond the pitch.
