The wait is over. Donosti Cup 2026 begins its first major day today with the arrival of national and international teams, who will complete the age verification process and collect their accreditations ahead of the official start of the tournament.

Between 9:00 am and 9:00 pm, the Txuri Urdin Ice Palace and Carmelo Balda Fronton will host the accreditation process for visiting teams. Participants will receive their Welcome Pack, including their official accreditation, a commemorative gymsack and a reusable water bottle, as well as all the information they need to enjoy an unforgettable week of football, friendship and shared experiences.

The Fan Zone will also be open throughout the day. Participants will be able to visit the Official Donosti Cup Store to purchase this year's official merchandise, enjoy the food truck area and take part in the challenges at the CHUTapp Zone. In addition, players who register on the CHUTapp app will be able to compete in a digital tournament and earn points for their club throughout the week.

Meanwhile, the action gets underway on the pitch. From 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, teams from Gipuzkoa will play the opening Group Stage matches, becoming the first teams to kick off the competition.

The day will also see teams checking into their accommodation between 3:00 pm and 10:00 pm, followed by the tournament's first official dinner, which will bring together thousands of participants from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Antonio Elorza Velodrome.

To round off the day, the DC Fan Zone will broadcast the FIFA World Cup match between Spain and Portugal from 9:00 pm, giving players, coaches and families the opportunity to enjoy one of international football's biggest fixtures together.

With the first accreditations completed and the first matches underway, Donosti Cup 2026 officially begins a week in which thousands of young people from around the world will once again prove that football is much more than a sport: it is friendship, togetherness and a unique opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime.
