Everything Ready for the Donosti Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony
The session assigned to each club for the Opening Ceremony is now available for consultation
The countdown to the Donosti Cup 2026 continues. Following the publication of the group draw, participating clubs can now check which session they have been assigned to for the Opening Ceremony, the tournament’s major welcome event, which will take place on Tuesday, July 7, at the Donostia Arena (Illunbe).
As announced last May, this year’s opening ceremony will exceptionally be held at Illunbe due to the expansion works being carried out at Anoeta Stadium. To adapt to the venue’s capacity and ensure the best possible experience for all attendees, the event will be held in two identical sessions. The organization has now confirmed the final schedule:
- Session 1: 6:30 PM
- Session 2: 9:30 PM
The distribution of clubs between both sessions is now available and has also served as the basis for preparing the competition schedule, which will be published next week. This will allow all teams to attend the ceremony without any conflict with their matches.
The Opening Ceremony is one of the most iconic moments of the Donosti Cup and will once again bring together thousands of participants in a major celebration of international grassroots football. Music, live performances, audiovisual shows, and the traditional parade of teams will once again be part of an event designed to welcome more than 900 participating teams.
In addition, ticket sales for family members, accompanying persons, and supporters will open next week through the official Donosti Cup website. Ticket prices will be as follows:
- General admission (13 years and older): €12 + booking fees
- Children’s ticket (ages 4–12): €6 + booking fees
- Children under 3 years old: Free admission
As usual, registered players and coaches, as well as accompanying persons whose accommodation has been arranged through the organization, will have access to the ceremony included.
