All three players belong to a talented generation already making its mark at some of Spain’s leading football academies. Divine Ejiofor and Víctor Barbany currently play for FC Barcelona, while Hugo Oliva represents RCD Espanyol. They also share a special connection with the Donosti Cup, having participated in different editions of the tournament during their development as young footballers.

Divine Ejiofor is the player who has participated in the tournament most often, having taken part in four editions: 2022, 2023, 2025 and 2026. He represented Set11 Sports and Brain Football. A versatile and powerful forward, he stands out for his ability to hold up the ball, attack space and contribute to build-up play. He also made his mark on the World Cup scoresheet, finding the net against Greece in the semi-finals.

Víctor Barbany, meanwhile, played in the 2023 and 2024 editions with Academia Manchester before returning this summer with Garso Academy. A technically gifted midfielder with excellent vision, he has been one of the key players responsible for bringing balance and rhythm to the Spanish side. He also left his mark in the semi-final against Greece, scoring one of Spain’s six goals in a 6-2 victory.

Hugo Oliva took part in the 2023 and 2024 editions with AD Inter Union. Now playing for RCD Espanyol, he is an attack-minded player known for his ability to find space between the lines, link up with teammates and create attacking opportunities.

All three were part of a Spanish team that enjoyed an outstanding tournament in Azerbaijan and has now secured its place in Spanish football history. Their success is also a source of pride for the Donosti Cup, highlighting how young footballers who have participated in the tournament continue to develop and achieve major milestones in their sporting careers.
