Real Varsovia CF, first Polish club to take part in the tournament
The team from Warsaw will compete with its B18 squad and will represent Polish football in the Donosti Cup for the first time.
Founded in April 2018, Real Varsovia CF has quickly established itself as a sporting project focused on the development of children and young footballers. The club currently operates in three locations in the Polish capital: Bielany, Mokotów and Ursynów. It also maintains a close relationship with professional football in the country as an associated club of the Polish champions, Raków Częstochowa.
The club’s main objective is to maximise the athletic development of each player and prepare them to compete at the highest level. To achieve this, all of its teams are led by qualified coaches accredited by UEFA and are supported by a strength and conditioning coach specialised in motor development and injury prevention. Additionally, the club hires specialists in football technique and goalkeeping coaching, ensuring that every player receives comprehensive and tailored training. The sporting project is further complemented by the support of nutritionists, physiotherapists and a sports psychologist, ensuring a comprehensive development programme for young players.
The club is presided over and co-founded by Karol Frąckiewicz, a coach with extensive experience both as a player and as a manager in clubs such as the Barcelona football school, Delta Warsaw and AMP Gool. He holds several coaching licences and has completed numerous specialised courses, as well as having a teaching background, which he considers essential when working with children and young players. His philosophy promotes an attacking style of play influenced by Spanish and Portuguese training models.
Real Varsovia CF also has experience in international tournaments held in Spain and Portugal, where it has achieved strong results. Now the club will take another step in its international journey by participating in the largest international youth tournament in southern Europe, where it will face teams from all over the world.
Their participation represents a milestone for the competition, increasing the number of countries represented throughout its 34-year history to 86. Witamy na turnieju!
