Donosti Cup Txiki is Born: A Great Football Festival for the Youngest Players
Donostia Kirola and Donosti Cup are organising a free 5-a-side tournament for children aged 5 to 8, featuring music, activities and plenty of surprises in the Fan Zone.
Donosti Cup 2026 will introduce a brand-new activity designed especially for the youngest members of the family. In collaboration with Donostia Kirola, the first edition of Donosti Cup Txiki will take place on Thursday, 9 July, in the Fan Zone located between Anoeta Stadium and the Mini Stadium. It will be an afternoon of football, fun and togetherness, giving children aged 5 to 8 the chance to become part of the tournament experience.
From 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, a free 5-a-side football tournament will be held. Children can register either with a group of friends or individually. The organisers will create teams to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to play.
Registration can be completed in advance via the following form (link) or on Thursday at the Fan Zone itself, subject to availability.
However, Donosti Cup Txiki will be much more than football. Throughout the afternoon there will be music, prize draws, giveaways, face painting and a variety of activities, allowing participants and their families to enjoy a festive atmosphere in one of the tournament's most iconic locations.
The day will also end on a very special note. At 7:00 pm, the Mini Stadium will host the finals of the Authentics Cup by Orona Fundazioa, the football competition for people with intellectual disabilities held as part of the Donosti Cup. The organisers encourage all Donosti Cup Txiki participants and their families to head to the stands, support the teams and share an experience that highlights inclusion, respect and the power of sport to bring people together.
With this new initiative, Donosti Cup and Donostia Kirola continue to strengthen their commitment to making sport accessible to all children by creating spaces where play, togetherness and positive values take centre stage.
