The Tanzanian academy will participate in the tournament as one of the two teams selected in the first edition of the Donosti Cup's solidarity program.

The Future Stars Academy, based in Arusha (Tanzania), has been one of the two teams selected to participate in the Donosti Cup 2025 through the Donosti Cup Munduan Scholarships, a solidarity initiative aimed at bringing the tournament to teams with limited economic resources but a strong social commitment.

Thanks to this scholarship, the team will be able to fulfill their dream of competing in one of Europe's most important youth football tournaments, with all expenses covered by the organization. For many of the players, it will be their first time traveling outside of their country, making this experience much more than just a tournament: a window to the world.

Future Stars Academy works to empower children through football, education, and personal development. Its methodology is based on fostering values such as respect, teamwork, and resilience, in an environment that promotes both athletic training and personal growth.

"This is an incredible opportunity. For many of our boys and girls, it will be their first time outside the country, discovering a new place and realizing that there is a huge world to know and explore. This experience will open their minds. We are deeply grateful to the Donosti Cup for making this possible."

Future Stars' candidacy was submitted with the support of Wakatake, an international organization with which the Donosti Cup shares values and mission: to use football as an educational and transformative tool.

This collaboration has been key in highlighting the work of academies like Future Stars, which, despite limited resources, manage to make a real impact in their community through sport.

The first edition of the Donosti Cup Munduan Scholarships received 12 applications from Africa, Asia, America, and Europe. An honorary jury composed of prominent figures from the sports and social fields—such as Edurne Pasaban, Álex Remiro, Nahikari García, Ander Izagirre, and Iñigo Olaizola, the tournament director—was responsible for selecting the two winning teams.

With this initiative, the Donosti Cup reaffirms its commitment to continue opening doors for young people from all over the world so that, through football, they can dream, grow, and build a better future.
