School Accommodation

Staying in a school during the Donosti Cup is a rewarding experience that allows teams from different countries to live together and fully enjoy the international atmosphere of the tournament. This experience also requires a shared commitment to respect and responsibility.

Dormitories

Staying in a school during the Donosti Cup is a rewarding experience that allows teams from different countries to live together and fully enjoy the international atmosphere of the tournament. This experience also requires a shared commitment to respect and responsibility.

  • Tables should be placed against one of the walls, without blocking windows or emergency exits.
  • A clear aisle must be left between the mattresses to allow for a quick evacuation if necessary.
  • Backpacks should be placed near the head, leaning against the wall.
  • If bringing your own mattresses, they must not exceed 75 cm in width. Wider mattresses may limit space and prevent everyone from fitting comfortably.

Space is limited, so order and adherence to basic rules are necessary for a good coexistence.

Changing rooms, showers, and toilets

Showers are located either inside the school or in an annex building. They are shared among all the teams:

  • There are separate changing rooms for boys and girls, but no separate showers for adults.
  • Each changing room usually has four to five showers. Some may have curtains or partitions, although this is not always the case.
  • Changing rooms, showers, and toilets are cleaned daily.

Dining room

  • The school provides a dining service.
  • Each team may have assigned time slots that must be strictly respected.
  • If a participant requires a special diet due to allergies or intolerances, it must be indicated in advance through the "My Team Info" area before June 10.

Access and security

Each team will receive keys to access the school. It is essential to keep doors and windows closed at all times for security.

It is not advisable to leave the classroom unattended or to leave valuables inside.

No visitors or people outside the team are allowed during the stay.
If someone unauthorized is seen inside the school, report it immediately to the team leader or a school host.

Access to unauthorized areas (other classrooms, offices, etc.) is strictly forbidden.

Check-in, check-out, and deposit

Upon arrival at the school, the team leader will check in with the assigned host.

A deposit of 20€ per person must be paid before arrival, either by bank transfer or via a temporary card block. The deposit will be refunded once the tournament has finished and after confirming that no damage or rule violations have occurred. This refund is typically processed within the following month after the tournament ends.

At the end of the stay, the classroom must be left clean and in the same condition it was received.

Code of conduct

  • Respect for the facilities: Damaging school furniture or materials is strictly prohibited. Any damage must be financially compensated by the team.
  • Cleanliness: Teams must keep their classroom and common areas clean and dispose of waste properly.
  • Quiet hours: No noise is allowed between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Respecting others’ rest is essential.
  • Adult supervision: Team leaders are responsible for the behavior of their players at all times.
  • Shared areas: Bathrooms, showers, and other common areas must be left clean and tidy for others.
  • Prohibited actions: Smoking and alcohol consumption are strictly forbidden inside and outside the school premises.
  • Schedules: Assigned times for showers and meals must be followed strictly.

Sanctions

Failure to comply with these rules may lead to fines, loss of deposit, and in serious or repeated cases, exclusion from future editions of the tournament.

School hosts

Each school has a host who collaborates with the organization. They are there to help and ensure your well-being and safety during your stay. However, the team leaders are ultimately responsible for the group’s behavior.
