More than 6,000 participants from Gipuzkoa and Iparralde collect their accreditations today
Local teams collect their accreditations and welcome packs this Saturday in a day that marks the official start of Donosti Cup 2026.
Donosti Cup 2026 is officially underway. This Saturday, more than 6,000 participants from Gipuzkoa and Iparralde are completing the age verification process and collecting their tournament accreditations in one of the most special days of the event. It is the first major gathering of players, coaches, families and the tournament staff before the football action begins.
Although many participants have taken part before, the excitement remains as strong as ever. From early in the morning, the accreditation centres are filled with reunions, anticipation and smiles as thousands prepare to enjoy another unforgettable week of football, friendship and cultural exchange.
After completing the age verification process, each participant receives an identification wristband corresponding to their competition category, along with a second wristband for the Opening Ceremony, granting access either as a spectator or as part of the parade, depending on their team. All participants also receive their official accreditation and a commemorative gymsack featuring the "United by Football" slogan of Donosti Cup by CHUTapp.
In addition, all players receive a reusable water bottle, courtesy of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, as part of the tournament's commitment to reducing single-use plastics and promoting more sustainable habits throughout the week.
To complete the age verification process, the entire team must attend together at the assigned accreditation centre, at the date and time scheduled by the organisation. Each participant must present an official identity document showing their full name, date of birth and photograph.
Accreditations are taking place at three different venues:
- Ficoba (Irun): Teams from Iparralde, Bidasoaldea and part of Oarsoaldea.
- Laskorain School (Tolosa): Teams from inland Gipuzkoa.
- Txuri Urdin Ice Palace (San Sebastián): All remaining teams.
For safety reasons, the organisation kindly asks participants not to stop or park vehicles directly outside the Txuri Urdin Ice Palace due to the large number of children attending. Visitors are encouraged to park in the Anoeta ring road parking areas or in the free Illunbe car park and walk to the venue.
Teams unable to complete the accreditation process today may do so on Monday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Carmelo Balda, without a prior appointment (waiting times may apply). Accreditation will also be available on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Tournament Information Point, located opposite Gate 13 of Anoeta Stadium.
Throughout the day, the Official Donosti Cup Store will also be open, offering participants the opportunity to purchase the official merchandise of the 2026 edition.
With this first major milestone, Donosti Cup truly comes to life. Everything is now ready for another unforgettable week of football, friendship and unforgettable experiences.
