Insurance and Medical Assistance
Insurance coverage
All participants will be covered by a private accident insurance policy exclusively during the tournament and only for injuries that occur during official matches on the playing fields. Each participant is responsible for having personal medical insurance for any incident that occurs off the field.
Participants from countries that do not have a medical assistance agreement with Spain must have personal medical insurance.
Neither Donosti Cup nor the organizers have collective insurance to cover injuries off the field, illnesses, theft, or property damage.
What to do in case of injury
- Immediately inform the Field Delegate (Staff) at the time of the incident.
- Fill out the injury report together with the delegate.
- Go to Policlínica Gipuzkoa or Quirón Donostia with the completed injury report to receive medical attention.
- Keep both the medical report and the visit receipt, as they are essential to process the claim with the insurance company.
Serious injuries and transfers
In the case of a serious injury:
- The Field Delegate will activate the emergency protocol and contact the medical team.
- The organization has its own ambulances for on-site care and transport to the hospital.
- The injured player must be accompanied by a responsible adult: father, mother, legal guardian, coach, team leader, or coordinator. The team's guide cannot accompany the player.
It is essential that the responsible adult completes and collects the injury report with the Field Delegate before going to the hospital.
Policy conditions
- The policy exclusively covers injuries sustained during official tournament matches.
- It is valid for one year from the date of the accident.
- Injuries occurring outside the field of play are not covered.
- Medication, specialized treatments, or any additional medical expenses are not included and will be the responsibility of the participant.
