Wakatake travels to Lesotho with a solidarity program

The Japanese academy led by Takeshi Inawaka, Wakatake, which has participated in four editions of the Donosti Cup, and which this summer has received the Fair Play recognition, is these days in Lesotho, Africa, with the "The Third Half" solidarity program that ESoccer agency has launched.

The solidarity program "The Third Half" offers the opportunity to clubs, schools, academies or even companies ... to live a global experience with training sessions, friendly matches, cultural visits, educational talks, etc. in countries with problems of poverty, AIDS or violation of rights. This trip generates incomes that goes to the NGO that welcomes them and offers them all the services before mentioned.

On this occasion, Wakatake has traveled to Lesotho, a small but beautiful country hidden high in the mountains of South Africa, which has a rich cultural heritage and spectacular scenery, including some of the highest waterfalls in the world. And at the same time, this is one of the poorest places in the world that suffers one of the highest rates of HIV / AIDS infection on the planet. Almost 25% of the population is HIV positive and more than 130,000 children have been orphaned by this disease.

The local organization that Wakatake is living these days with is Kick4Life, a football club that uses football to integrate vulnerable boys and girls into society and gives them the opportunity for a better future. Some guys from this club have excelled for their soccer level and in fact, some of them are currently playing in European leagues.

From the Donosti Cup we congratulate "The Third Half" for the solidarity program they have created and we wish that many clubs take an example from the Wakatake and discover football from another point of view.
