"Know how to lose, learn to win", the story of Edu Valcarcel

Eduardo Valcarcel, "Edu", is a boy from San Sebastian in love with football. As a child, he lost a leg but that has not stopped him from practicing many sports and becoming a football coach with a career full of successes and, the most important for him, loved by all his players. Actually, he is the director of the School of the RFEF that has more than 1,000 boys and girls from 8 to 14 years old.

This documentary made by his brother Iñaki, tells the story of his life. As Edu says "it's the story of my life, a story that I tell you with pride. We are football people and we know how much we suffer, live, cry and laugh with this sport. Joys and sorrows go inside many times. But what we have clear, is that to learn to win you have to know how to lose. And that's what the documentary is about, that in life and sports we lost many things, just like in football matches. The important thing is to know how to take advantage of everything that happens to you to become you stronger and stronger. "

For Edu the Donosti Cup is a very special tournament because it is held in San Sebastian, the city where he was born. He has participated in many editions and he has always stood out for the exemplary behavior of his players and for the good game. The first time he came, it was in 2008, and he was proclaimed champion of the B16 category with the Rottweiler of Madrid just the same day of his wedding. In 2014 he came with the School of the RFEF and since then, he has not missed his appointment with the Donosti Cup every year. During these years he has been Champion twice and also 2 runners-up titles. His players have won our hearts.

From the Donosti Cup we invite you to enjoy this documentary and we congratulate Edu and Iñaki for the magnificent work that they do.
