200 teams’ barrier broken

As we announced some weeks ago, this year, the rhythm of entries started higher than usual and in fact, the barrier of 200 teams has already been broken.
More exactly, the teams confirmed are 218, which means an increase of 14% compared to last year in the same dates.

Per countries, the USA is again the most represented country with 64 teams registered and a new participation record has been beaten. We should remind than in the last edition, the USA had 53 teams, which means that this year its representation has augmented in more than 10 teams.

The second foreign country with more participation at this very moment is France, which has 22 teams already confirmed. And the third country with more representation is Canada and Jordan with 4 teams each.

The rest of registered countries are: Spain, Palestine, Norway, Portugal, Brazil, Panama, Sierra Leone, South Africa, El Salvador and Australia.

As for the national teams, today we have 109 registered, the 3 communities that will have the most representation are Catalonia with 47 teams registered, Madrid with 45 teams and Canarias with 5 teams.

Leading the ranking of clubs with more teams we have PA Team that will come with 14 teams of children, followed by Futfem Talents that will participate with 12 girl's teams and in third place Atletic Sant Just with 11 teams.

Per categories, the most popular by now is the B14 with 28 teams, followed by the B13 with 25 teams and the B12 with 24 teams. For the girls, the most popular by now is the G14 with 21 teams, followed by the G16 with 16 and the G12 with 12 teams.

We received a good number of requests from very different countries in the last weeks. So, we expect the 250 teams’ number is going to be beaten shortly.

We welcome all the teams to the 2019 Donosti Cup and we cheer all the interested teams to live the Donosti Cup experience on.
